New Head Coach Nick Sanna '98 Records First Win

In the boys basketball season opener for both Archmere and Wilmington Christian on December 12 at the Moglia Fieldhouse, the Auks seized momentum and the lead with a 19-0 run on the way to a 59-33 victory. It was the first win at Archmere for new head coach Nick Sanna '98, an assistant for the Auks the past few years.
The Auks used quick passes and lots of movement to create open looks, and Matt Malloy '24 started the long run with a three-pointer. The Auks’ shooting cooled in the second quarter, but they were able to maintain their advantage. Archmere continued its dominant defense, and they took a 16-point lead into halftime. Nick's team spent most of the third and fourth quarters controlling possession and maintaining their lead.

John Orsini '26 scored 15 points to lead the Auks. Drew Duncan '24 and Noah Blessington '26 each had 9 points. Archmere (1-0) will travel to Delaware Military Academy on Friday, December 15th for a 6:30 p.m. start.
